Artist Statement
I express my emotions and thoughts through my paintings using bold, bright colors, and abstract artwork allows me to let go of my fears, create a room for hope, and absorb nature. I feel very connected to the natural world by creating artwork. I liked telling stories about my paintings and their titles.
About Me
Since I was a kid, I have loved everything expressive and creative, and I am always interested in various art forms. Born in a small town in the north of India – surrounded by artists and musicians, from folk dancers to handcrafted item makers I discovered my creative spirit., I explored a lot with my character. I have been into folk dances, dramas, and art and craft schools. To me, art is the sustenance we need; art is everywhere, the folk songs the tribals sing at dusk and the mud castle kids make. I started with watercolor strokes and sketches; I drew to render concrete, realistic representations of objects; I usually got lost in the process and sometimes lost track of time.
A few years ago, after moving away from my loved ones a thousand miles away, I was looking for hope and enrichment, so I started painting. Just for myself, I encouraged myself to start to explore the abstract form of art; I felt drawn to let go of rendering concrete, realistic representations of objects and instead paint the feelings and emotions of my subjects using color and shapes to represent them. Each of my paintings is inspired by my personal journey through life: friendship, resilience, bravery, growth, travel, and discovering my joy. I even started just painting with my hands! And I love it.
I was thrilled to have sold out several paintings, one of which is “Rain in the Big City” Original artwork was an exciting moment for me when my client showed my artwork at his open house, and that house got sold for way more than expected. It encourages me to keep moving forward and believe in myself.
I paint Plaster, abstract landscape, geometric abstraction, and gold foil art with acrylics, oil pastels, and chalk Finish Acrylic paint using a palette knife, brushes, knives, and hands.
I create all of my artwork using my own unique ideas and techniques. I never copy any existing artwork from others and each piece is an original creation. Often, I create a small series of similar pieces and give them a specific title accompanied by a serial number. While working on a series of abstract art, it is possible that each piece may not be an exact match of the others due to the nature of the genre.
Please note that I retain all reproduction rights for my artworks, and may create prints or similar pieces of some of my pieces for sale. However, if an artwork is a one-of-a-kind piece, I will never replicate it exactly. I want to ensure that each buyer receives a truly unique and special piece of art. Please read the product description carefully to determine whether an artwork is unique one-of-a-kind piece or available as a reproduction.”
If you have any questions about my reproduction rights and policies, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m always happy to chat with my audience and answer any questions you may have.”
